Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-25
Wallet Match resolves links between public crypto wallet addresses and public social profiles. This policy explains what we process, why, and how to opt out. It covers two groups: people who create an account, and people who appear in resolver results without holding an account.
If you have an account
- Your email (for sign-in and receipts).
- Your credit ledger, every debit, top-up and refund, kept for tax and audit purposes.
- The handles and addresses you scanned, linked to your user ID.
- Your community verdicts (confirm / reject) on matches.
Data about people you look up (resolver data)
To provide the service we process public information about the wallets and social profiles that users resolve. This can include a public wallet address, a public social handle and profile details (display name, bio, avatar, linked website), public follower relationships, and the inferred link between a wallet and a profile.
We collect this from public sources and public data providers, not from private accounts. We do not process special-category data, and we do not attempt to identify people who have kept their wallet and their identity separate in public.
Lawful basis. We rely on legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): providing audience and identity analytics over information that is already public. We balance this against the rights of the people concerned, limit processing to public data, and offer the opt-out below. Where local law requires consent instead, the service is not intended for use there.
What we share
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share your email, payment records, or the list of handles you queried. Aggregate, de-identified resolver results may be retained to improve match quality over time.
We use service providers to run the product: Supabase (database, auth), NOWPayments (crypto invoices), and resolver data providers (for example web3.bio, Neynar, Alchemy, and a Twitter/X data provider). Their own privacy terms apply to data processed through them.
Cookies
We use session cookies set by Supabase Auth. We do not run any advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Your rights and how to opt out
Account holders. You can request deletion of your account, scans, ledger and annotations by emailing tim@wallet-match.com. We action verified requests within 30 days.
Removal of a wallet or handle from results. If a wallet or profile linked to you appears in resolver results and you want it excluded, you can have it suppressed. To protect people from others removing data that is not theirs, we act only on requests where you prove control of the identity:
- For a wallet, sign our removal message with that wallet.
- For a social profile, verify the account (sign in with the account, or post a one-time code we give you).
A verified request suppresses only the specific wallet or handle you proved control of. Once suppressed, that identity is excluded from future resolver results. We keep a minimal record of the request itself so the suppression stays in force.
